CGY-Setting
Replace the standard footer attribution, manage profile and Space post-count visibility, upload a favicon, choose a guest homepage, and safely refresh HumHub after module changes.

STEP 1
Place the module in HumHub using the exact technical folder name.
- Extract the release ZIP.
- Upload
cgy-settingtoprotected/modules/. - Confirm
Module.php,config.php, andmodule.jsonsit directly inside the folder.
YCP tipAvoid an extra version folder. The final path must be protected/modules/cgy-setting/.

STEP 2
Activate the module from the HumHub administration area.
- Sign in as a system administrator.
- Open Administration → Modules.
- Find CGY-Setting, select Enable, then open Configure.
YCP tipIf the Configure button opens an error, replace the entire module folder and flush the application cache.

STEP 3
Choose what replaces the standard HumHub attribution.
- Open Footer Branding.
- Enable removal of “Powered by HumHub.”
- Enter custom text and an optional destination URL.
- Use
{year}and{siteName}for automatic values.

STEP 4
Control exactly where your replacement footer is shown.
- Open Display.
- Choose full-page footer, login page, sidebar footer, or account menu.
- Leave only the locations that fit your theme enabled.
YCP tipAlways test the login location in a private browser window.

STEP 5
Give browser tabs, bookmarks, and shortcuts your own icon.
- Open Favicon.
- Drag in a PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, or ICO image.
- Use square artwork, ideally 64 × 64 or 128 × 128 pixels.
- Save the settings and reload the page.
YCP tipUpload the icon again after upgrading so the browser receives a new content-hashed filename.

STEP 6
Refresh HumHub safely after updating or removing modules.
- Open Server Tools.
- Run Full Plugin Refresh after a module change.
- Use individual cache, asset, theme, or OPcache controls only when needed.
- Use stuck-uninstall recovery only after HumHub has already started that uninstall.
YCP tipThe tools are predefined and administrator-only; the module does not expose a free-form terminal.

Your community branding is live.
Check both a signed-in page and the public login page. Your footer and favicon should now display consistently.
